2026 Invest in Others Volunteer of the Year Award Recipient
For Amy Weinberger, giving back is more than a commitment to a cause. It’s deeply personal, rooted in her own journey of perseverance, gratitude, and the life-changing power of finding a community that understands.
On September 17, 2026, Amy, a financial advisor with Green Earth Financial Professionals and Osaic in Cape May, New Jersey, was named the 2026 Invest in Others Volunteer of the Year Award recipient at our 20th Anniversary Awards Gala in Boston. The recognition celebrated her extraordinary dedication to Soft Bones, Inc., The US Hypophosphatasia Foundation, and the countless individuals and families whose lives she has touched through her advocacy.
For Amy, the moment represented another milestone in a journey that began long before she became an advocate.
Turning Personal Challenges Into Purpose
For much of her life, Amy lived with undiagnosed hypophosphatasia (HPP), a rare genetic disease that affects bone and teeth mineralization and can cause chronic pain and significant physical limitations. It wasn’t until age 53, with help from Soft Bones, that she finally received a diagnosis. That experience changed the course of her life.
Rather than allowing her challenges to define her, Amy found a renewed sense of purpose in helping others navigate the same uncertainties she had faced.
“Gratitude is my motivation. I’m so thankful, I just can’t help but pass it forward,” Amy shared in an earlier Invest in Others feature.
Today, that gratitude fuels her tireless volunteerism. From connecting patients with knowledgeable physicians and helping families navigate treatment and insurance challenges to raising awareness and supporting research, Amy has become a powerful voice for the HPP community.
Her commitment extends well beyond occasional volunteer hours. Supporting Soft Bones and the families it serves has become part of her daily life.
A Recognition Years in the Making
Amy’s recognition at the 2026 Awards Gala was particularly meaningful because her involvement with Invest in Others spans several years.
Previously recognized as a Volunteer of the Year Honorable Mention in 2024 and 2025, Amy continued to champion Soft Bones, raise awareness of HPP, and demonstrate what sustained charitable commitment can accomplish. Her perseverance was not lost on those attending this year’s Gala.
In a recent Invest in Others feature, 2026 Awards judge Marianne Rivera reflected on Amy’s moment on stage, noting how her story embodied persistence, resilience, and commitment.
Amy’s recognition also brought a $75,000 grant to Soft Bones, helping the organization continue its work educating, empowering, and connecting individuals and families affected by HPP.

A Moment to Remember: Amy’s Acceptance Speech
One of the most meaningful parts of the Invest in Others Awards Gala is hearing directly from the financial advisors whose charitable work has made such a profound difference.
As Amy accepted the Volunteer of the Year Award, she had the opportunity to reflect on her journey, the community that has supported her, and the importance of continuing to show up for others.

The Impact Continues
While the 2026 Volunteer of the Year Award marks an extraordinary achievement, Amy’s story is ultimately about something much bigger than recognition.
It’s about transforming personal adversity into an opportunity to help others. It’s about the importance of patient advocacy, the strength of community, and the difference one dedicated individual can make through years of consistent service.
Amy’s journey also reminds us that financial advisors can make an impact far beyond the clients they serve, bringing the same dedication, compassion, and commitment to the causes closest to their hearts.
As Invest in Others celebrates 20 years of amplifying, celebrating, and inspiring the charitable work of financial advisors, Amy represents the spirit of our mission and the promise of what lies ahead.
Congratulations, Amy, and thank you for helping grow the charitable impact of financial advisors.
