In late June, our Invest in Others Charitable Foundation team gathered in New York City from our homes across the country to strategize, connect with our Board members, sponsors, industry and media friends, and build momentum for the future.
It was fantastic to be in such an energetic place to engage with those who already know us and to get connected to many who are just learning about our mission to amplify, celebrate, and inspire the charitable work of the financial services industry.

At Invest in Others, we believe that financial professionals do more than manage money, they change lives. By celebrating, amplifying, and inspiring their charitable work and philanthropy, we help shine a spotlight on the incredible impact they’re making in communities across the nation and the globe. This isn’t just recognition, it’s a powerful way to elevate philanthropy and volunteerism within the industry and encourage others to follow suit.

Our Board members lead by example. Their vision, generosity, and commitment to service remind us every day why this work matters. They push us to think bigger, act bolder, and stay true to our mission: to invest in those who give back. We’re grateful for their leadership and proud to continue building a culture of giving within financial services, together.
Mary Pat Roenbeck, CIMA, Managing Director, BlackRock, is one of those Board members. She recognizes the value of the organization and gives her time and talent to help us move our mission forward.

We’re incredibly grateful to our Board members for their steadfast support, strategic vision, and deep commitment to the mission of the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation. Their leadership continues to shape and strengthen the impact we’re able to have across the country, and we simply couldn’t do this work without them. From guiding big-picture priorities to championing the values we uphold, our Board plays a vital role in ensuring the success of our efforts to celebrate and amplify the generosity of the financial services industry.
A Challenge to You
If you’re part of the financial services industry, we encourage you to consider how you can use your own time, talents, and treasure to make a difference in your community. Here are a few simple but powerful ways to start:
• Volunteer your professional skills with a nonprofit
• Join a board or advisory committee for a local organization
• Mentor a student or young professional
• Organize a service project with your team
• Start a workplace giving campaign or matching gifts program
We challenge you to pick one of these ideas over the summer and explore it before the fall, there’s no better time than summer to lean into service. Because once you take that first step, there’s no telling the impact you’ll help make by this time next year!
