We’re pleased to recognize Jeff McCullough, of Koenig Investment Advisory in Ashland, OR as an Emerging Impact Award finalist for the 2026 Invest in Others Awards. McCullough has been a leading volunteer for the Ashland Community Health Foundation (ACHF), also located in Ashland, OR, since 2021.
ACHF’s mission originally was to support the Ashland Community Hospital, but in 2021 it expanded to include the health of the entire community, a response to a systemic health care crisis that has hit rural Oregon especially hard.
Rural Oregon faces a lack of healthcare providers, the closure of services at the local hospital, and the lasting impact of the 2020 Almeda fire, which destroyed more than 2,600 homes in the region. As a result, many families in the community lack the resources to access care for both their mental and physical well-being. ACHF provides funding for programs with a real and lasting impact for the community, and the foundation is committed to supporting local, innovative health projects.
“My father-in-law served as ACHF board president in 1991,” said McCullough. “I saw an opportunity to make an impact in a community that I love and want to support.”
Continuing his father-in-law’s legacy, McCullough has served on the ACHF’s board since 2022 and served as president in 2024 and 2025. He also chaired ACHF’s new major gift initiative, which launched in 2023 and set the tone for the broader campaign. During his tenure as board president, ACHF had its most successful funding years on record with more than $6 million in campaign commitments.
McCullough is especially proud to honor his late father-in-law’s legacy through ACHF. He and his wife started and funded the Chuck Butler Memorial Aquatics Endowment, ensuring that all youth, regardless of resources, can participate in aquatics and learn water safety. Drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1 to 4 in the U.S., and the endowment supports programs including swim lessons, lifeguard and CPR training, swim teams, water polo, and swim camps.
The endowment was one of the first major gifts of the 2023 initiative, helping set the precedent for what would become two of ACHF’s best fundraising years. To date, the McCulloughs have raised over $172,000 to support youth aquatics.
