Every March, Women’s History Month invites us to pause and reflect on the generations of women who have shaped our communities, our industries, and our nation. It is a time to celebrate progress, to honor resilience, and to recommit ourselves to the work that still lies ahead.
At the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation, Women’s History Month resonates deeply with our mission.
Invest in Others was founded on a simple but powerful idea: when financial advisors invest their time, talent, and resources into nonprofits, they can help transform lives and strengthen communities. Every year, through our Awards and Grants Programs, we shine a light on individuals and organizations that are addressing some of society’s most pressing challenges. Many of those challenges disproportionately affect women and girls, and many of the changemakers leading the way are women.
Women’s History Month is important not only because it recognizes trailblazers of the past, but because it highlights the ongoing work required to create equitable opportunity. While tremendous strides have been made in areas like education, leadership, and economic empowerment, women and girls continue to face systemic barriers: pay inequity, limited access to capital, gender-based violence, and unequal access to healthcare and education. For women of color and those in underserved communities, these challenges are often compounded.
The stories we see through Invest in Others each year remind us that progress is powered by people.
We have honored financial advisors who have founded nonprofits to provide mentorship and career pathways for young women. We have celebrated leaders who are expanding access to education for girls in under-resourced communities. We have supported organizations that provide safe housing for survivors of domestic violence, workforce training for single mothers, mental health resources for teen girls, and financial literacy programs designed to help women build generational wealth.
These are not abstract causes. They are deeply personal missions, often born from lived experience.
Many of our award recipients and nonprofit partners share a common thread: they saw a gap, a need, or an injustice affecting women and girls, and they chose to act. Their stories reflect courage, empathy, and a belief that investing in women is one of the most powerful ways to strengthen families and communities.
Research consistently shows that when women thrive, communities thrive. When girls have access to education, economies grow. When women have access to financial resources and leadership opportunities, innovation increases and poverty declines. Investing in women and girls is not only the right thing to do, but also one of the smartest, most sustainable strategies for long-term social impact.
That belief is woven into the fabric of Invest in Others’ work.
Through our grants, we provide critical funding that helps nonprofits scale programs, expand services, and reach more individuals. Through our Awards, we elevate the stories of advisors and organizations who are driving meaningful change, ensuring their work receives the visibility and support it deserves. By amplifying these stories, we hope to inspire others across the financial services industry to engage, give back, and invest in causes that matter.

This Women’s History Month, we are especially grateful for the extraordinary women whose leadership strengthens Invest in Others and the communities we serve.

Representation in the financial services and financial advising industry matters. When women are visible in leadership, as advisors, executives, philanthropists, and changemakers, they expand what is possible. They bring diverse perspectives to decision-making, foster more inclusive cultures, and serve as role models for the next generation. Many of the women connected to Invest in Others are not only leading today, but they are also paving the path for future generations of women to step confidently into leadership roles of their own.

Celebration is important, but so is participation.
