Today, we are especially proud to put the spotlight once again on Gail Perry-Mason, our 2022 Invest in Others Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. Gail’s lifelong commitment to financial empowerment and community transformation stands as an enduring example of impactful leadership.
As the founder of Money Matters for Youth, Gail has dedicated decades to teaching financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and wealth-building skills to young people in Detroit, reaching hundreds of children each year with programs that unlock confidence, knowledge, and economic opportunity.
Through her work with Detroit Impact, Gail has helped foster generational change in communities that have historically been underserved, connecting youth with tools that equip them for success, both personally and professionally.
Her efforts have also made history, including bringing the first youth group of its kind to Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders Meeting, giving Detroit youth an unforgettable financial immersion experience.
